The real story from LOI day

Post by Duck24 »

A Eugene bar tradition has ended. Sad but if idiots are chucking mugs across the bar and knocking people out cold, probably for the best.

RIP ending the night with hammered renditions of ‘Sweet Caroline’.

Haven't touched the popcorn there since I saw a girl throw up in the bowl on her 21st birthday. Good times.
Max's better stop charging a cover if they want anyone to show up now. I've paid the cover because everyone wanted to go for closing, but if that's over why am I crowding into Max's at all? It's the most miserable bar of the five after midnight.

Is it a bad thing that I never once set foot in Max's in my 4 years at Oregon?

Eh if you didn't do the bar scene very much or stuck to Rennie's or the quieter ones you really weren't missing too much at Max's.
I will say grad night at Max's with everyone was one of my favorite memories from college, but I was there pretty much twice a week for most of my senior year, and I was never a huge fan of the place.

I'm with Phenom, here. Max's played a big role in my senior year in 2010-2011. My buddy screenshot this and texted me yesterday and it felt far worse than losing any of these recruits.

While I feel somewhat bad for my friends who loved singing along and shutting that place down, I've always hated sweet caroline.. lol so no tears shed here
