They dealt with injuries to their QB, and had to go back and forth between their starter and backup (who played in the Nebraska and Rutgers games). They lost one of their top receivers at some point as well. All in all, their offense has been pretty terrible and it's only been their defense that's won them games.

Oregon does not show up for road games against teams with a winning record.

well luckily it is a neutral site game and there is a heavy oregon presence in the bay area.. but I get your point, we did not show up for road games vs. teams that didn't finish 2-10 (lol).. cal being the outlier

Big game for Arroyo to step up against a good defensive mind.

O-Line is healthy, NFL QB and WR, more experienced RB's after a full season.

No excuses.

No excuses, agreed.

We've been pretty stinky in bowl games lately. Would be nice to win one.

The difference between 9-4 and 8-5 is huge. If we win this one we have a chance to end the season ranked, and it greatly increases the chance of being ranked in the pre-season poll. For a first year HC this is a big deal in both perception and on the recruiting trail.

I think it also gives them momentum in recruiting, both in closing out the 2019 class and then starting in on the 2020 and 2021 guys. You'd also think it gives the players a little more positive attitude heading into winter conditioning and then spring practices.

hell it also keeps the fan base happy well not all of them but most.. ducks could go
13-0 and win the cfp and the negative nellies would still find something wrong. But winning the
bowl would most def help in recruiting. Need the momentem going into the off season.

The Ducks will be wearing their green jerseys for the bowl game, according to @DuckSwag’s latest twitter video.
