Getting worse would imply bad luck. He is just self destructing in an epic way.lmduck wrote:Wow- just keeps getting worse for this guy.

Re: Colt Lyerla Again
I thought he was in state prison for a few years so I’m surprised he even had opportunity to get arrested again.
There’s some nice rehab stories, but I think sadly he will be like most junkies who only further their self destruction as time goes on with no change or remorse forthcoming.

If he only went to USC, then none of this would’ve happened and he’d be a NFL Star.

I enjoyed watching him as a player, his story is just sad. I hope he finds his path......

Agreed. Unfortunately, thuggery (see Aaron Hernandez), and addiction (Lyerla), are too strong a pull to overcome for some players. Not sure if Urb gave a crap about Hernandez’s warning signs at Florida, but would have hoped UO at least made some efforts to help Colt (if there were warning signs while in Eugene).Alan wrote:I enjoyed watching him as a player, his story is just sad. Re: Colt Lyerla Again
there were plenty of warning signs when he was in Eugene and I can tell you for fact the university AND the AD bent over backwards to try and get this guy on the right path. there were so many people involved and things done trying to help get this guy straightened out and he chose to do his own thing. it is a very sad situation and one that I fear will not have a good ending.Everythingsducky wrote:Agreed.
