Louisville: Source tells FootballScoop Scott Satterfield is bringing two strong recruiters back to Louisville, hiring both Cort Dennison and Steve Field away from Oregon. Sources tell us Dennison is expected to coach outside linebackers at Louisville while Field is expected to oversee recruiting. Before being hired by Mario Cristobal, Dennison was Louisville’s inside linebackers / recruiting coordinator. Field spent 2017 as Louisville’s director of high school relations.

Why would they take lateral moves. Doesn’t make sense. We should offer more $.

Clickbait title but at least he didnt bury the lede in the post.StevensTechU wrote:The title was not helpful.

As to the topic, very surprising. Must have thrown a boatload of cash at them. Or maybe Dennison just couldn't live with looking in the mirror and seeing himself dressed in yellow and green.

A glimmer of hope from The Scoop Dennison, we’re told, is a done deal. Field has been offered the position at Louisville; but sources tell us he has not finalized his decision. Stay tuned….

Re: #$%&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or they both wanted to get closer to home, or there is dysfunction behind the scenes in the coaching "staff room", or Cristobal wanted them gone and suggested they look for other opportunities, or Louisville is willing to do more "things" in the recruiting game that Oregon doesn't, making their jobs easier... etc. etc. It could be a number of different things.GrandpaDuck wrote:Clickbait title but at least he didnt bury the lede in the post.StevensTechU wrote:The title was not helpful.

Assistants will always come and go, it's the sign of a healthy program. Alabama replaces half their staff every year. Excited to see who Mario brings on board!

Sucks to lose them with a little recruiting needing to be done but I'm sure Mario already has a few people in mind to replace them.

Denison should be an easy replacement, I hope they can keep Fields. I am 100% confident in MC, he has done a great job hiring coaches and recruiting on top of another things.

Cort was one of our main recruiters so he wont be so easy to replace.

Hard to fault the guy if he is getting a promo to co-DC .TualatinDuck wrote:Cort was one of our main recruiters so he wont be so easy to replace.
Maybe not a done deal with Field though.
