Report: Oregon to hire WSU LB coach Wilson
Looks like Oregon may have found their replacement for Dennison in WSU LB coach Ken Wilson:

Don't know a thing about him. (Is he a good coach? Recruiter?)

Seems like they have done pretty well with their LBs. I wonder if he can recruit.

Supposed to be one of their best recruiters. Worked with Mastro and Joe.

247 has him listed as WSU top recruiter. Plus, he found some stud under the radar guys like Payton P. So he can develop LB as well. All in all, seems like a solid hire.

I felt like their LB play was good this season. And he sounds like a good recruiter. Why not!

They are not happy. Seems like he was a great coach/recruiter for them.

Hahahahahaha, thanks for sharing. That was fun read, those guys are hurt. They even had to bring up Nike paying overseas workers .89 cents per hour.Phenom wrote:They are not happy. Seems like he was a great coach/recruiter for them.

It's embarrassing to have lost to Wazzu four years in a row, time to end that streak this season. No excuse for losing to a team with that much less talent.

Do Wazzu fans consider that maybe these guys weren’t poached, maybe they were dying to get out? Of course they don’t.

Hey, some people want to live in the beautiful Palouse. I would imagine they're rare. I've known someone who took a demotion to move to Portland from teaching at Wazzu because his wife couldn't take it in Pullman anymore.StevensTechU wrote:Do Wazzu fans consider that maybe these guys weren’t poached, maybe they were dying to get out? These guys are getting more money, a job with more perks and resources, and to most people a nicer place to live. I don't know if Leach is a difficult boss or it's just easy to poach people from there, but they've lost a lot of assistants over the past four years.

I live very rural myself, a half hour to the closest town and it is a one grocery store town. While this living style can be peaceful it can also be a PITA. No pizza delive, internet sucks, a hour round trip because you don't have the one ingredient to finish a half made meal. I'm sure is bigger than where I live but still far too small for many.GoDucksTroll wrote:Hey, some people want to live in the beautiful Palouse. I would imagine they're rare. As far as WSU message board meltdown, it happens on all of these types of boards, including this one.
I like the hire, six years at WSU, has a working relationship with Big Joe as well as other coaches and is reported to be a good recruiter. But he is coming from a "pretty conservative farming community" to a "keep it weird and live for 420" liberal lifestyle. Lol, he'll be fine and I was kidding....kinda...
