Wide receiver coach Edit: Texas Tech's Bouknight to be hired
TOS has something posted with some upvotes. Hmmm. Wonder if something’s about to be reported?

Re: Wide receiver coach
Cristobal said that it is a tight race. Should be announced within next few days or possibly week.

Probably came down to money. Dunn, before the raise, was getting $410,000 with up to a $117,000 bonus, and Stillwater has a lower cost of living than Eugene. Bouknight is listed at $155,000 with a potential bonus of $12,000.
Just found Bouknight was scheduled to get $240,000 at Texas Tech.

Re: Wide receiver coach
He looks like he could still be playing college football. Interesting hire.
Not like we can get any worse at that position, so excited to see what he can do.

Re: Wide receiver coach Edit: TTU's Bouknight to be hired
He was a decent player in college at Wyoming, being a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award as a SR. Kinda surprised he took the Oregon job so soon after leaving Utah State for Texas Tech.
Re: Wide receiver coach Edit: Texas Tech's Bouknight to be h
according to well placed sources he was 'very interested' in the UO job when he got wind of Johnson leaving.

Re: Wide receiver coach Edit: Texas Tech's Bouknight to be h
Am I missing something. I would think we would hire a coach who has experience and is established that can recruit Texas. This does not strike me as a home run hire. I thought Cristobal wanted someone that can effectively recruit Texas. Kind of a blah hire. Hopefully I am wrong. Course if he can coach the receivers to catch the ball and get separation it would be an improvement.
