Ex Bama players want invite to spring game
I didn't want to hijack GW's thread, he posted tweets from a couple of ex Bama plays no in the pro's wanting an invite to the spring game. Calvin Ridley and Reggie Ragland.
A). I'm curious if they will receive one?
B). Will it be beneficial to the Ducks program and how?
C). Is in support of Cristobal or for self interest, such as pub, or even undermining recruits for Bama?

Mario tweeted back at them, my house is your house.

Yeah, this isn't something to feel insecure about but rather the opposite.

I see no downside to bringing in NFL players that coach has a relationship with. Imagine being a recruit and seeing rich and famous NFL players stopping by to see the guy that recruited them, and wasn't even their position coach.
It's difficult to tell how genuine some coaches are or if it's all a schtick. Hugh Freeze was the ultimate Christian family man, until he got caught ordering escorts. Willie Taggart seemed like the real deal, until it became apparent he's not. But everything positive we hear about Cristobal is backed up by actions.

This is more of a selling point. Mario is such a well liked guy that guys from his previous school still like the dude. It really drives home the family culture the staff sell's to recruits. I bet parents love it , speaks to his character.Duck07 wrote:Yeah, this isn't something to feel insecure about but rather the opposite.

Not on the same level, but do you guys remember when had all the banana boat NBA all stars in town in like 2010? No school affiliation but having pro athletes on campus was only positive publicity.
