Injury Watch 2019-2020

Post by StevensTechU »

During yesterday's presser, Cristobal noted the following were held out because "they weren't healthy enough to contribute at a high level" in their current state (aka, somewhat precautionary):

DL Austin Faoliu
DB Kahlef Hailassie
WR Juwan Johnson
OLB Bryson Young

Cristobal had the following to say about the in-game injuries:

CB Thomas Graham - "had a minor tweak in the game"
OC Jake Hanson - "is being evaluated"
RB Cyrus Habibi-Likio - "had spasms"

This is all in addition to known injuries:

WR Brendon Schooler - Out until at least October with a foot injury
WR Mycah Pittman - Out until at least 9/21, likely longer, due to shoulder injury
WR JR Waters - Out until at least October
WR Lance Wilhoite - TBD
TE Cam McCormick - Out and return is TBD
LB Adrian Jackson - Out for the year

I wonder if that's to protect his redshirt. Initial timeline was 4-6 weeks from late August after surgery.

Other than the WR/TE spot, we're doing OK on the injury front.

Graham rolled his ankle, could have been much worse the way it got caught. He was walking on the sideline in the 2nd half.

Hanson looked like a possible concussion. He was walking off before halftime.

Failou and Young I think will be back next week or at worst after the bye.

I've said a few times I think Cam is heading towards medical retirement.

Juwan is a big mystery. I think we either seem him next week or not at all.
