Scott Schrader is claiming Devon
Is not eligible for 2 years because of some rule where because the ducks have a coach on the staff that coached at usc last year, he then has to sit 2 years. The coach is Prentice Gill. I have no idea if true.

Considering the source, he's likely full of BS. That rule only applies to family members and coaches from HS or JC. Plus, Gill is only an offensive analyst, not an on-field coach.

I hope so for his sake. That would be really unfair to Devon

That would be dirty. I really hope this isn't true. Schrader is an enormous USC homer (as JHop is for us/the Ducks), but he is sometimes right about things.

consider the source.
Re: Scott Schrader is claiming Devon
Agree that Schrader is a USC homer but, if you talk to some prominent people around the SC program, Schrader makes them very nervous. He has been known to cross the line and has been admonished by SC Compliance in the past. He is like the broken clock adage, right twice a day.StevensTechU wrote:That would be dirty. I have no knowledge of this being a rule about having to sit two years.

Doesn’t apply to college coaches. Scott is wrong.

He's eligible to redshirt this year, so he'll be a redshirt sophomore next year.Duckattack7 wrote:after this year is up is he a jr or using a redshirt ?
