DB Kahlef Hailassie enters transfer portal
Looks like Oregon will have another transfer as SO DB Kahlef Hailassie is set to enter the transfer portal. With Justin Johnson medically retired, him joining Stack and Tucker as departing players, and the addition of Devon Williams, Oregon should have an extra 3 roster spots for the 2020 class.

Interesting. He saw playing time last year as a true frosh. Obviously McKinley and Wright passed him up and I suppose DJ James but it's still a bit surprising.

I'm guessing he's seen playing time in 4 or fewer games this year, making this a redshirt year for him. Anyone know if that is accurate?

I think he's been injured most if not all of this year.

The players that we are seeing transferring are ones that are not seeing the field very often. I view this as a good thing. The Ducks are going to be able to add higher rated and better players, which leads to more depth.

1) I wonder if this has anything to do with Bennett Williams' visit.
2) I really like Khalef as a player. He's able to play both corner and free safety, and I think he's a regular in the rotation in basically any other Pac-12 defense. I'm actually kinda bummed at this.
Good luck, young man.

Meh. Just another schollie for a better player. It's what happens when you start to get really good. Weaker players see the handwriting on the wall. This is a good thing for depth and a better overall team... good luck kid...

Re: DB Kahlef Hailassie enters transfer portal
After this year, the Ducks graduate Haki Woods and both Lenoir and Graham will test NFL waters. One outlet just this week said Lenoir might play himself into the first round, so neither are sure bets to come back. Next year's DBs could be something like...
CB- Mykael Wright, Trikweze Bridges
CB- DJ James, Daewood Davis
Nickel- Jevon Holland, Jamal Hill
FS- Verone McKinley, Steve Stephens
SS- Nick Pickett, Brady Breeze
I think Khalef is a regular in that rotation. Kid didn't redshirt as a true freshman because he was so good, and has been banged up so far this year.

He would have started on some Helf teams but there is just too much young talent at DB right now and he hasn’t been able to break into the rotation. Wish him the best.
