Good article on Juwan about all he been through in his young life, good to see him do well since he been back from injuries, (also good to see Johnny Johnson have a good year, the two Johnson are really good friends too).

Since nobody feels the love, I will bite. Thought it was a very good article. I’m always cool to hear about any inside story on the players, especially ones that fought through adversity. I couldn’t comprehend what he had to endure, losing your father and mentor, while in college, regardless of being a star athlete. Not sure I would have been able to rebound like he has. Strong young man.

great young man, but he also didn't have his best game and a few drops against ASU. He was building up to be a quite dominant WR and a good connection with herbert. Hope he bounces back in the last few games of the season and herbert also bounces back.

Another take on why Juwan didn't have an effective game in Tempe.alxtw wrote:great young man, but he also didn't have his best game and a few drops against ASU. "Sun Devil coaches studied the Duck run-pass-option game, gave quarterback Justin Herbert a run read and then had the corners jump the only two routes the Ducks seem to run: 12-yard slants and 12-yard sideline patterns. And, viola, Juwan Johnson was eliminated as a big-play receiver."

It’s a little unnerving that our offense is that easy to figure out and we didn’t have a counter ready to go.ICamel wrote:Another take on why Juwan didn't have an effective game in Tempe.alxtw wrote:great young man, but he also didn't have his best game and a few drops against ASU. The lack of a counter or lack of adjustment to what ASU is doing falls on the coaches. Just another reason why Arroyo needs to be let go. Coaches have to be able to adjust to what teams are doing. If can not do that then should not be making 6 figures.

Re: Juwan Johnson
good article and prep by ASU.
Totally agree, our OC (or CMC if he's calling the plays) need to make those counters and adjustments. If Herbert was an elite QB with good recognition (ie tom brady-like feel for the game) he would have made his own mental notes and own adjustment to plays that were called and how the defense was playing.
