Don’t know much about Wisconsin this year, but they seem to always be stout on defense and give us fits.greenyellow wrote:10-3 Wisconsin vs 11-2 Oregon

It’s the same Wisconsin team as every other year. Decent enough defense, heavily reliant on the running game, and a mediocre at best QB. Their defense may be a little better than in previous years, but hard to tell because they play in the Big 10 which lacks decent offenses.brich75 wrote:Don’t know much about Wisconsin this year, but they seem to always be stout on defense and give us fits.greenyellow wrote:10-3 Wisconsin vs 11-2 Oregon

Yeah, definitely no Russell Wilson this time around.droop10 wrote:It’s the same Wisconsin team as every other year. If it weren't for the way the Ducks played against Utah, I would be very worried about Wisconsin's defense just smothering the Ducks. That could still happen of course, but the Utah game definitely gives me more faith. I would like to think that the Oregon team that showed up against Utah will make an appearance in the Rose Bowl, but who knows.

They’re very similar to Utah. Worse QB, better RB.

I'd bet they have a much better O line than Utah. I don't think we can count on dominating both trenches in this one. Haven't watched much Wiscy yet, I could be wrong--but they held their own against Ohio State's lines pretty well. They had a bunch of sacks on Fields and he improvises in the pocket a lot better than Herbert does.Phenom wrote:They’re very similar to Utah. Worse QB, better RB.

I only watched bits of the game but I thought they talked at halftime that Fields was injured and his mobility was limited.wepto wrote:I'd bet they have a much better O line than Utah. He had a brace on his knee, but I don't think that is the primary reason the first half went down the way it did. Wisconsin just totally dominated the lines in the first half.maxduck wrote:I only watched bits of the game but I thought they talked at halftime that Fields was injured and his mobility was limited.wepto wrote:I'd bet they have a much better O line than Utah. Ducks open as a three point underdog. I’m kind of surprised by that one.
And yeah, as others have said it’s the same Wisconsin you always get. Taylor is a great RB, stout OL, solid D.

Compared to Utah, it'll be a lesser passing game, but more will have to be dedicated to the rush. Taylor is better than Miss (which is saying something), but more than anything, he has much better offensive line.
Defenses are comparable.

Last time Ducks faced them, Montee Ball had over 200 yards total offense, with 164 on the ground, and he was a first team All-American, held the NCAA TD total at the time, and an 1,830 rushing season. Taylor is great, but I also hope the Ducks D is better this time around, and not playing against a Wilson caliber QB. Wisky also had some big time playmakers at receiver. I feel more confident this game, than I did in 2012. Caveat, is the Ducks had LMJ, Kenyon, and DAT, so there is that.

Well we opened as the underdog, that’s a good sign for us!
