You know one name that never is mentioned about our 'mentality?' Steve Prefontaine.

This was exactly how Pre ran. We were already ahead of our time, we just didn't know it yet.

I can recall game football announcers bringing up Prefontaine's attitude, in some comments early in CK's Oregon tenure... Wish I had paid more attention.
