Barrett has done an excellent job with this. I don't think anyone has a clue. You have this guy, who is a close family friend saying Oregon. You have Kigab allegedly saying he is going to Duke. Every recruiting expert is saying Duke, which seems to be based only on the fact that it was his childhood dream school. Watch him commit to Kentucky, since that is the only one of the three not being mentioned right now

Seriously though......We want and need this guy more than the other two schools and he will kill it in Altman's system.
Go get him!!!!

Hi Northbeach, what have you heard with regards to Kigab saying he's going to Duke? Just curious how recent that is or the source. If true I'd say that's probably a really bad sign as I'd imagine Kigab would be more tied in on this than anybody outside of Barrett's' family. Especially if he was saying it very recently.

Yeah, this is exciting. I see the US experts picking Duke as his choice similar to the pre season rankings; it's easy. We don't know if this Canadian expert has more tangible insight to what Barrett will do, but the Canadian-Oregon pipeline is real, and could be what pushes Barrett to Oregon.

i would be pumped if Barrett picked the ducks because i think Bol would commit right
away. But been here before and we lose out...So i am going to try and stay calm
and not go off deep end if its not the result were hoping for...

Nah...never been in on #1 like this...that's not a better thing mind you..
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

It is a rumor...thus "allegedly". It has been flying around on another board for about two weeks and came from someone claiming to be very close with some of the current players.

Honestly, I don't think anyone really knows right now, which is kind of cool. People are just grasping at straws.

If you don't want to possibly be disappointed, don't look at RJ Barrett's Twitter follows as he's recently followed nearly every Duke player, coach and recruit within the past 24 hours. Preceding that, he did the same with those connected to the Kentucky program. He's not done the same for anyone associated with Oregon.

Yeah. Someone tweeted he has a fitted Duke hat ready. It's Duke.

But Oregon is the only one with a shirt, not a jersey. He's going to put on the shirt.

NO he just couldn’t find an Oregon jersey at the mall where he bought the hat.

Said it in the other thread, but for awhile I've had the chances at

-80% Duke
-10% UK
-10% Oregon

Things have gone quiet on Bol bol, so I hope he does in fact announce soon.

Like I said in the other thread, I got the feeling it’s be Duke simply because of his high school choice. He chose the best high school. It’s clear he wants to go to the best, and the best also happens to be his dream school. Can’t fault him for going to Duke, great program, great education, and learn from a great coach who has coached the USA Olympic team multiple times. I hate Duke, but can’t fault him.
