Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
Not a bad start so far but they've given DePaul some easy shots.

So this is what a basketball game looks like when the refs don’t call two fouls per minute.

Oregon up 6 at the under 4 timeout. Pritchard and Troy Brown have shown up but it really looks like Elijah Brown is struggling to find his place in the offense this tournament.

Oregon up 36-35 at half over DePaul. Pritchard and Troy Brown leading the way with 11 points. They really need someone else to get going.

They need to stop penetration, last night and tonight teams have gotten to the rim at will

Ducks living on the 3 so far. Probably won't be able to sustain that in the second half.

Yes, so far the Ducks have not defended the rim; and when they get there they have usually missed, so they abandon even trying for long stretches. I don't see DePaul as having nearly the athleticism of the Ducks, or UCONN, so that bodes well. But, Oregon obviously can't count on that advantage the rest of the season.brich75 wrote:greenyellow wrote:Oregon up 36-35 at half over DePaul. Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
It's looking like players aren't comfortable with their roles yet and are still learning where to get their shots in the offense. As for the defense, their rotations are a step slow (likely due to them still learning) and with no shot blockers besides Wooten, Oregon's lack of great on-ball defenders is hurting them.

Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
DePaul starts off hot by hitting consecutive threes to take a 5-point lead while Oregon has turned it over twice. You can see how unsure a lot of players are out there by all the missed defensive rotations and excessive dribbling on offense.

I have never seen so many ridiculous unforced turnovers, moving screens and travels.Merganzer wrote:Yes, so far the Ducks have not defended the rim; and when they get there they have usually missed, so they abandon even trying for long stretches. This squad looks very average at both ends of the floor, not excelling at any one thing.

Young and inconsistent. Check back halfway through PAC-12 play and see how they’re doing.Duck07 wrote:This squad looks very average at both ends of the floor, not excelling at any one thing.

Damage will have already been done by then if we lose games in the non conference to the likes of DePaul who is a BigEast bottom feeder.Duck24 wrote:Young and inconsistent. I really like Bailey's game. He has a mentality that matches his athleticism. Almost reminds me a little of Russell Westbrook in his UCLA days.

Tied at 49 at the under 12 break. Elijah Brown seems to still be trying to do way too much.
