Pritchard with a three to take the lead. Trading buckets right now.

Like the way E. Brown has been playing this roadtrip. Taking much better shots and actually seems to be leading.

Brown has been a STUD today. This team is playing like guys capable of winning games in March. This has been a very promising weekend no matter what happens in the next five minutes.

Oregon with the slim one point lead at the under-4 timeout. Great seeing them have a pulse this weekend.

Dang. A couple dumb shots and a couple nice plays on Az's end puts us down four with 2:00 left.

Oregon has missed some quick trigger threes while Arizona has gotten big shots from Ayton and Trier to take a 4-pint lead. Need a bucket here.

Bad turnover leads to a Zona breakaway that's only stopped by a foul.

Another missed three by Oregon and Arizona is taking more FTs. Have just gone cold the past 3 minutes.

Two observations, Prichard is a shot clock waster. He takes way way way too long to get the offense set. I've been pushing for Troy Brown to get more time at PG this season and this game just makes me want that even more. I want a PG who can set up this offense quicker. I'm constantly begging for Prichard to move but he takes 8 seconds to walk the ball down the court then another 7 seconds to set up a play. Before you know it, half of the shot clock is gone. In addition, Paul White is just simply awkward with his post defense. He had no chance against Ayton. He kept getting lost and did not time his jumps well at all.
Trier and Ayron are beasts, hats off to those guys for a tremendous game. Those two killed Oregon.

Sure would've been nice to have McCoy today, darn UNLV. Is Ayton one and done? Cause it'd be fun to see him and Bol Bol go at it.

To be fair, Ayton makes a lot of people's post defense look awkward.

Oregon really needs for Troy Brown to get going. He just seems to disappear from way too many games.

Oregon fought very tough till the end but predictable the whistles stopped on the Oregon half of the Court in the last 4 min. Nonetheless Oregon grew on the court and like where they are heading...
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Sucks to lose but this AZ road trip was a huge success! First, Oregon showed they can compete, that feels great after what we've seen for most of this season. Second, they split it! With two ranked teams on the road, splitting it is huge with how this team has played so far this year. Super proud of this team! Let's see what we can do with USC and UCLA coming to Eugene next week. Gotta make better decisions down the stretch and not rely on threes so much.

It really wasn't the refs who stopped the Ducks in the final 4 minutes as Oregon was just taking and missing a bunch of shots during the 3 minutes out of the under-4 timeout. Like the effort but the execution still isn't where it needs to be consistently.bigsugarduck wrote:Oregon fought very tough till the end but predictable the whistles stopped on the Oregon half of the Court in the last 4 min.
