They were one of the 1's, in the initial release, then later that day they lost to Oregon State, and were a 2 in the next bracket. When I heard about the initial #1 news, it was official, like the release of the first Football Playoffs Board. I can't find anything like that, but this is the Women's Joe Lunardi

Oregon's Satou Sabally is named Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Sabrina Ionescu has been named Player of the Week, 5 times; including 3 weeks in a row between, Dec.18 and Jan. 2.

91-54. This was actually a come from behind win for the Ducks, as the Bears got the first two points, and it was actually competitive for the first quarter, ending with Oregon up 16-11. But a 30-18 second quarter by Oregon blew it wide open.
Cal is led by their center, Kristine Anigwe, averaging 17.6 ppg, but a great defensive effort by Oregon's bigs, held her to 6 points, 8 rebounds. The Ducks hit 51.5 from the field, 47.4 on 3's. Sabrina Ionescu during one stretch missed 3 straight free throws, on her way to 28 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds. Ruthie Hebard finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds, as Oregon controlled the boards, 40-28. A big highlight for the Ducks was redshirt freshman, Anneli Maley, who was 3-4 on 3's. The win puts Oregon at 10-1 in conference play, the first double digit total since 2007.

Teams that can bother them seem to be those with quick guards that can bother Sabrina a bit. Satou gives them a whole different dimension this season.
