With the 90-79 win over WSU Oregon stays in the 3 way tie for first place at 23-4 (12-2)with Stanford and UCLA. The Ducks came out scorching hot against the Cougars, ending the first half leading 48-34; missing only two shots, 3 point attempts by Sabrina Ionescu and Maite Cazorla. Lexi Bando made her return in grand style, hitting her first 3 of 3 attempts from long distance. Ruthie Hebard didn't miss any shots, in the first half, or the second, from the field, where she went 12-12 or at the free throw line, where she was 7-7, for 29 points; throw in 9 rebounds and 4 blocks, add the 30 point effort against Washington, and I think Hebard has a pretty good chance of being named Player Of The Week. With their scores against the Cougars, Hebard and Ionescu both joined the 1000 point club, 1013 and 1004, respectively. Cazorla is at 965.

They better start playing some defense if they want to get to the great eight again.

Yep. In both of these last two games the opposing guards had no trouble getting the ball to the basket.nogerO wrote:They better start playing some defense if they want to get to the great eight again.

I've said it before, Graves has recruited some really great offensive players but he better get a couple of defensive players soon, because when you're not shooting well your offense comes from your defense.Merganzer wrote:Yep.
