Crazy stat, but Oregon has finished in the top 3 in the standings since the Pac-10 extended to the Pac-12.

Impressive!

Is that from regular season standings or combined with league tournament standings?

Just went through ESPN's standings since 2010 and they are sorted by conference record.

A little more digging: Since the first season of Pac-12 play, not counting this season so far, Arizona 83-25, Oregon 78-30.

If Altman manages to finish top 3 again this year with the current squad I think there's a serious case to be made for him being the best coach in the country.

He's squeezing blood from a stone right now. He's getting results from a squad that includes Keith Smith, Roman Sorkin, Elijah Brown, etc. It's seriously incredible stuff. If he ever learns how to lean on refs we're going to win a national title.

Absolutely, and where better to start than on this road trip? The players picked up their intensity level the last weekend, Altman needs to do it on this one. There will be plenty of opportunities.

If the college basketball season was 10 games longer, I have no doubt we’d finish first or second. Watching the young guys come to life during the second half has been incredible (yet again). Altman is an absolutely amazing coach. If we could somehow keep T. Brown around another year.... can you even imagine???
