Eastern Washington @ Oregon (Nov 9 Friday 6 PM Pac-12 Net)

Post by greenyellow »

Nov 9 (Fri) 6:00 PM PT
vs Eastern Washington
TV: Pac-12 Network

This game is technically part of the 2K Empire Classic (the event Oregon will travel to NYC for) but doesn't affect the actual tournament part of that event.

Nice! I'm hoping to go to a couple games this year.

Not sure if its 2 or 4 so when I get to the office I might have some extras. Everything is usually last minute for me with the comped tickets we get. I would have gone to USC/OSU last week were it not for a tournament and I might get 4 Civil War tickets since I asked nicely.

With Oregon's next win, Dana Altman will tie Basketball Hall of Famer Howard Hobson for second on the UO career coaching wins list. Altman has 211 wins in nine seasons at Oregon. Hobson led the Ducks to 212 victories from 1935-47. Altman (2017) and Hobson (1939) are the only two men to lead Oregon to the Final Four

Ernie Kent is #1, 235-174 (1997-2010)

Amin getting the start again, I was hoping Richardson or Bailey would get the start.

EWU looks so ovematched against Oregon without 3 of their top players not playing.

Ducks up 35-15 at half. You can certainly tell they're trying to break a bunch of new guys in still as things do get a bit ragged at times on offense. They look to be a much better defensive team but I'm not sure if it only appears that way because of their competition so far.

Oregon continues increasing their lead as Altman has decided to break out the press to keep the energy up. Amin and White have been good this half, hitting at least 4 threes between them.

Really like Richardson's game. Nice silky jumper and he looks so effortless in getting to the rim.

What Bol is able to do on the perimeter is just unfair as it takes just two steps from the 3-point line to get to the basket and then no one is tall enough to block his shot. Also, Okoro is going to get overlooked with Wooten and Bol on the team but he gets a lot of the tough rebounds while showcasing some really nice post moves.

Amin played pretty well.

Richardson is on a minutes restriction for a bit still.

He's really good. Altman knows it too.

I don't think he "stood out" at all-star camps because he's not flashy, but he's really good and really smart. I think he is already the best drive/finish guy on the team.
