One team jacks 3's all game, the other drives to the bucket, the 3 jacking team shoots like 5x as many FT's.
#pac12refs at it's finest.
Good win though. If we get this Duarte consistently, we are going to be tough as our young bigs develop more.

How many points did Utah score on that one possession? I was distracted during that mess. It seemed like 45. Was it 8, 10, 12?

8, from up 56-50 to down 58-56 in a single possession. Terrible rule change.GrandpaDuck wrote:How many points did Utah score on that one possession? I was distracted during that mess. It seemed like 45. Was it 8, 10, 12?

Walker has a back injury. Not sure why Patterson didn’t play. He would have helped with his length and penetration.RebelDuck wrote:Why did Walker not play?

I thought they said 9... What was the rule change? I was getting a bit riled up at what I was watching and missed any explanation, if there was one..pudgejeff wrote:8, from up 56-50 to down 58-56 in a single possession. This is all I have found as an explanation (copied and pasted)
Here’s how it happened.
While Mikael Jantunen was sinking a 3-pointer, Allen was fouled by Shakur Juiston in the lane and it was deemed a flagrant one foul. So Allen got two free throws and the Utes retained possession, after which Allen scored inside.
Just like that it was 58-56 Utah.

That was a tough win that keeps the team going, one of those that this team just wasn't going to lose. Great game for Richardson, so improved from last season, not inhibited at all. Lawson doesn't make mistakes; could become even a more + player as the season goes.
Mathis is not consistent yet, started out great, had a good game @ Michigan, but was a non factor on this road trip.
Dante showing flashes, have to keep reminding that he really is just getting started with the system. Obviously hope that Walker's back clears up, he had been playing well recently, Duarte is game changer, if as noted above, can play this way consistently. The cumulative of the 3 key stats, points, Rebs, assists, showed a nice balance: Pritchard 27, Richardson 26, Duarte 25.

Yes and yes. The foul differential made nooo sense. It single handedly kept utah from being blown out.duck58 wrote:But they have also made some stupid mistakes. But they win anyway.ducksrock wrote:Ducks are totally getting screwed by officials...
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."
