Should be a good battle. Pritchard matches up again Mannion. We need to get the three point shooting going again. It's dropped off the last few games.

Hopefully the crowd is good, Matt Knight for mens games leaves a lot to be desired tbh.

Big time. I remember a few years back when we upset UA at home. It was one of Altman's early years but the crowd stormed the court afterwards. If we could get it like that it would be awesome. We aren't underdogs anymore but getting the crowd that raucous would really galvanize the team.justducky0 wrote:Hopefully the crowd is good, Matt Knight for mens games leaves a lot to be desired tbh.

This is when, as much as MKA was a necessary move, it would be great to have, "The Pit" back. Back in the day, I can't imagine any home court being more intimidating. So loud, scoreboard swaying, baskets shaking, the Lone Ranger!mattc94 wrote:Big time. I remember a few years back when we upset UA at home. The Pit had magic thats for sure. Matt has had its moments, the year Oregon demolished Az it was rockin thats for sure. It would be nice though for the big games if it could be a factor again. This preseason home slate was brutal.

Seriously. Pit crew and overall crowd is very weak.justducky0 wrote:Hopefully the crowd is good, Matt Knight for mens games leaves a lot to be desired tbh.
This is a big game, Oregon should win though.

What happened to the Pit Crew? They used to be such a massive force and now it seems like they are just a shell of what they used to be. Did leadership change or did tney lose a stipend or something? They are pretty bad now.

It's just today's culture. It's the same with the student section at Autzen. A very weak crowd and most of them are there for a social gathering more than to cheer on the ducks.justducky0 wrote:What happened to the Pit Crew? Yeah Autzen doesn't need the students to be loud, but the Pit Crew at basketball games was always a key to the energy.
Cutting back student tickets at Autzen is LOOOONG overdue.

How could it be overdue when they've consistently cut them over the years?
Recall that the preseason games didn't sell out and students were given MORE tickets last-minute because of the lack of general public interest.
The student section is far worse than when I was a student ten years ago, but boy do people love just blaming everything on them.

Part of it: I think overall the anti-athletics crowd has grown on campus with political debates being heated the past few years.
That crowd really didn't like the money going into athletics rather than the whole student population.
And then administration created the online ticket system for anyone who wants to go just gets a ticket with a click. Rather than the camping race for tickets.
