It comes down to this: 15-6 ASU @ 18-3 UCLA and 18-3 Oregon @ 7-13 Cal.

ASU wins 1 @ UCLA, and the Ducks sweep Cal... Who could argue with that?Merganzer wrote:It comes down to this: 15-6 ASU @ 18-3 UCLA and 18-3 Oregon @ 7-13 Cal.
Sure, ASU could sweep the Bruins, but let's not get silly!

I hope ASU can take a game, but it won't be easy. Other than two losses to the Ducks, their only loss was what must have been a fluke game against Stanford.Merganzer wrote:It comes down to this: 15-6 ASU @ 18-3 UCLA and 18-3 Oregon @ 7-13 Cal.

ducks dominate with a 13-0 in five innings, Miranda got a rare game one start of a series. D.J., Lauren, and April all hit homers in the fifth inning, and Haley just missed one in the fifth too.

Ducks 13-0. It was 6-0 after 5, and then the Ducks finished it off with a 3 run homer by DJ Sanders to get the run rule initiated, 3 batters later, pinch hitter April Utecht sent one out of the park, followed immediately by Lauren Lindvall with a sole blast, Haley Cruse followed with one that was just fould, and settled for a double off the top of the fence. Mirandas Elish finished off her two hitter in the bottom of the 6th. I want to point out a great fielding play by Jenna Lilley in the fifth, a hard shot to 3rd, bounced off her, but she stayed with it and threw out the runner.

8-3. So, a run rule win yesterday, and a come from behind win today. The Bears took the lead in the 4th on a wild pitch. Alexis Mack tied the score with a rbi single scoring Haley Cruse, and a couple of batters later, Gwen Svekis knocked a pitch out of the park, putting the Ducks up 4-1. The Bears could have made it interesting but despite seeming to have the bases loaded with no outs for the entire inning, could only get a couple of runs in the 5th. In the 6th Mia Camuso started off with a double, stole 3rd and scored on the overthrow,, with Cruse and Mack on, DJ Sanders put the game away with her 15th home run of the season. You get an idea of how good Kleist is when it seems like this wasn't a great performance: 7 innings, 3 hits, 10 K's and 0 walks. There were the two wild pitches.

Woohoo! Go ducks! This team definitely has what it takes to win the World Series. From my perspective it seemed like they lacked the power in the past. Now they have the power to go with their pitching and defense, I really think this team can win it all this year.

They’ve proven they can play and beat the best teams. Hope to see a national championship banner at the Jane!OregonFan4Life wrote:Woohoo! Go ducks!
