washington is 1 win away from the CWS

i'm making this post because about a month ago i noted that duck fans really shouldn't be expecting CWS bids because oregon state is the ONLY northern/wet weather team to do so in the last 30+ years, and our proximity to corvallis had (i surmised) led to a false assumption that getting to omaha was easier than it really is.
but, washington beat fullerton 8-5 today and now they're a win away from the CWS. if they make it to omaha they'll be the second wet weather school to do so in the last 30 years. both of our rivals making it to omaha -- beavs are up 4-0 already in their Super Regional opener, and are HEAVY favorites to beat minnesota -- will certainly not be good for horton's longevity.
