Any one of the recently departed pitchers would have been a huge boost to the prospects of this team.

All things considered, it appears Lombardi has some decent acumen.

Great effort by a young team!

One got on for FAU in the top of the first, but Dale struck out the side.

Cruse & Bunker went out, Cid & Utecht walked. A double steal ended with the ball thrown in to CF, Cid scored. Burks flies out to end the inning.

it's not on tv that I know of, it seems like ducks have been scoring a lot of unearned runs early on this season

ducks win 2-0, Jordan with a no hitter. FAU top hitter was hitting 400 and second highest average 211, ducks got at least a split in the four game series.

greenyellow wrote:Saw some people on a softball forum downplaying Oregon's win by saying the Ducks were facing LSU's #2 and 3 pitcher, not their ace. Don't know if that's the case but Oregon still limited what was supposed to be a potent LSU offense and got to LSU's pitchers enough to win.
So! They saved their ace to go against Texas. So they are saying LSU's #2 and #3 aren't good. While the Ducks most likely won't be world beaters this year, we do have some talent and will do better than most think.
Also, LSU would rather lose to us and beat Texas. Also LSU is my favorite SEC team.
