Re: Jacob, team updates
If JJ is ok, our inside game could go from a weakness to a strength. Really I can't think of a 4 man rotation at UO in the last 20 years better at the 4 and 5 of Nared, JJ, Olu and Emory with Kuemper getting min also.

Even without JJ I wouldn't consider our inside game an area of weakness.

I was pretty stoked reading the article, there was a time where I wasn't sure if we'd even see JJ again. If he's full go this season our low post game will be really good. Not amazing size but tons of skill & athleticism that we can come at you in droves with kinda like our guards last year.

“We can’t have five (recruits) one year and one the next,” Altman said. “Three or four (in a class) is always a great number to have ... that’s what we’d like to get to.”
That line brings a smile to my face

He actually seems like he knows what he's doing in spreading the classes around. Kent seemed like he could care less about scholarship distribution.chapelhillduck wrote:“We can’t have five (recruits) one year and one the next,” Altman said. “Three or four (in a class) is always a great number to have ... that’s what we’d like to get to.”

That is music to my ears! Kent's massive classes caused young teams to struggle mightily, and it limited the year-in and year-out competitiveness of the team..
Going to miss the Maehl Man

Honestly, I think we'll be OK without JJ now with this incoming class. We got a couple JCs and a big center. Plus I really don't know if JJ could ever reach the level he was playing at two years ago.buckmarkduck wrote:If JJ is ok, our inside game could go from a weakness to a strength. A 6'11 center who can defend and rebound would be nice also.UOducksTK1 wrote:Honestly, I think we'll be OK without JJ now with this incoming class. We got a couple JCs and a big center.
