Bev Smith out as womens basketball coach
I realize that this isn't important news to many of you, but I'm a supporter and follower of all U of O sports. I also went to school at Oregon when Runge was the coach. The program was good and mac court got 5,000 people for some of their games. I'm hoping they can bring in a good coach and get back to their winning ways. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

I follow all Oregon sports as well, women included. Like you said, hopefully the next coach can get the program back to the level it was under Runge.

Yup, thats a sign that things haven't been going well. I can understand that people are on the fence when it comes to Kent, but I think most will agree that this Smith move had to be made. I never thought I would enjoy womens basketball, but I had fun going to the games back in the Runge era.

Paul Westhead is the new women's basketball coach. Kind of old at age 70 as far as coaches go, but he does have a ton of experience.
