USC gets another 4* (sigh)

Torrodney Prevot, a DE from Texas. He was an Oregon target, with a visit scheduled.

At 6' 4" and only 205 lbs. he sounds like a bit of a project. Nice offer list.

Similar size and speed to Dion Jordan (6'6" and 215) out of high school.

He's a beast. Not sure why he's being listed as a DE. His future is definitely at LB.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

I'm hoping his frame can hold another 45 pounds (and stay on the edge), but he'll probably be a LB for USC.

I wouldn't concede that just yet. In the Tampa-2, defensive ends generally are not "big" and his athleticism would fit that scheme well. He does need to put on some weight, but it could work out.

Exactly, that's why I want him to stay on the edge. Plus USC got smaller in general on D to (attempt to) disrupt what UO does on offense. Pete Carroll was lucky because the big LB's he had were freakishly athletic and could go side-line to side-line easily. USC doesn't have that anymore and are willing to sacrifice size to limit UO's spread. Based on how we are recruiting it may not seem like it, but that's because the majority of those players meet the big but fast requirement. This staff will recruit speed over size as long as UO is it's main competition for the Pac-12 crown.
