#22 Arizona @ UCLA

In part this continues the discussion at the end of the Beaver-Husky thread.

This shapes up as an interesting game of significance. If Arizona can win and Oregon beats USC, three-loss Arizona controls their own destiny in the Pac-12 South; they've only lost to conference teams in the North. It would be a tough road for the Wildcats, beating the Bruins in LA, a game two weeks later at (possibly resurgent) Utah, and hosting ASU to end their season. But if they could do it, I suspect that Arizona would end up at least #15 in the BCS if not higher as they then enter the CCG. And their victories -- under such a scenario -- over the Bruins and Utah (because the Ducks don't play those two) would continue to strengthen the Ducks' SOS.

But if the Bruins beat Arizona this week, maybe it would be nice for them to run the table. What we want, I think (least as it stands right now), is for the Ducks to play the highest ranked team possible for that "extra" game, the CCG.
