Re: Josh Smith transferring
Other guys = ALL sports, just so you know.
But posting here is fine, our basketball board is a lot less active, so posting about other college teams is fine.
Josh Smith had a promising freshman season then kinda dropped off. Lazy, overweight, etc., he's just not a basketball player.

Josh Smith transferring
That's two transfers in the last week. Saw that they only have something like 7-8 scholarship players at this point. Not looking good for Howland.

Wow! First Tyler Lamb and now this. That leaves them with 8 scholarship player, which includes 3 transfers and 4 freshman. I hope Shabazz is "that good" or they are in serious trouble.

Re: Josh Smith transferring
Howland forgot what made UCLA special during those Final 4 runs. His rosters were full of disciplined players that completely bought into his defensive concepts. Since those runs, Howland has been picking elite talent over schematic fit, and the players he has gotten have been soft malcontents. When you forget your identity, you are dead, and I'm guessing Howland will be getting his walking papers after the season.
Going to miss the Maehl Man

I feel like the same thing happened to Ernie Kent... He got away from his roots and sucked
