Fantasy Draft or not?
The simulation engine forces me to use all 29 teams. Since we are starting at 1988, 4 teams will have no players.
So with that being said, I think a fantasy draft would be the best option. The draft order is randomly generated, and it's a snake ordered draft. Personally, I say let's do the fantasy draft, but that might be a little difficult if people aren't around.

I would just be worried it would take a long time . Maybe an expansion draft? If everyone is active from the start then fantasy draft would be sweet though

If we do a fantasy draft we need to set strict time restrictions.

We will, we'll come up with some time restrictions, and encourage people to send me lists, so if they are not around, I can pick for them.Phenom wrote:If we do a fantasy draft we need to set strict time restrictions.

Re: Fantasy Draft or not?
The one problem with fantasy drafting is it f's up FA for about the first 4-6 years. Each player gets a pregen contract. It doesn't settle out for quite some time. Unless people dump players in trade for cap room, you will see every player resign in the first crop of FAs.

I'm overwriting the generated contracts. We will be using the contracts that they actually had 1988 season.Zyme wrote:The one problem with fantasy drafting is it f's up FA for about the first 4-6 years. Each player gets a pregen contract.
