Re: Which true freshmen play this year?
Maybe I should have left Ty Crosby on there and taken Royce, Springs or McGraw off, but I just think a few of these guys are going to force the coaches hand to give them back-up time. Brown seems an obvious choice having enrolled early and I've heard Coach Campbell glow when talking about Charles Nelson and Tony James.UOducksTK1 wrote: 15 Jalen Brown WR 6-1 187 Fr. Phoenix, Ariz. Re: Which true freshmen play this year?
Dargan, Ifo, Mathis, and Hill are all seniors. That leaves us with very little returning experience, after this season. There is no doubt that we see 1 DB (if not 2) play as a freshman. So is it Springs, McGraw, Oliver, or Ihenacho that sees the field?
Of course Talia's not a freshmen, but I'm sure we'll see him play.

Re: Which true freshmen play this year?
Per my DC:
Royce Freeman (3rd back, goal line back)
Charles Nelson (Returner, slot)
Jalen Brown (red zone, special teams)
Jimmie Swain (special teams, depth)
Arrion Springs (depth, special teams)
Tanner Carew (snapper)
- I think Morgan is the 2nd best QB on the roster, but I don't see a reason to burn his redshirt for garbage time. I know he wants to play this year regardless.
- Mattrell McGraw is saying that he's going to play this year, but IDK. He doesn't mind playing special teams.
- Austin Maloata is huge and it's not bad weight! We need depth at NT so it might be a possibility.

Re: Which true freshmen play this year?
Pretty much spot on IMO. McGraw has a shot to play, but I think young talent at S will keep him down some. Will be interesting to see how his role develops.Phenom wrote:Per my DC:

I wonder if Tony James' injury will have any effect on his chances of playing this year?

Brown/Freeman/Nelson/Springs/Swain/Carew
I wouldn't be shocked if Crosby/Mahalak/Maloata played as well.

I just don't see where he would play. If I had to play one of James and Nelson I would pick Nelson because of James' injury.UOducksTK1 wrote:I wonder if Tony James' injury will have any effect on his chances of playing this year?
