You left out Griffin's brother, the one who had to sit out this season because he transferred from GT, who is at QB.

Good catch. I put him at QB, but I doubt he stays there.

Thanks for posting this. At first, I thought that our CB depth was better than I remembered, but then I realized you have Charles Nelson as a starter. Obviously, things look a little more dicey without him there.

Looks good, is it official Charles is moving to defense?
Also I think Tony James jumps Benoit. Will be nice to see Joe Walker playing more minutes, I think that will help a lot against the run.

Yup. All the insiders are saying that it's pretty much a done deal. I think it makes sense. He was actually a really good CB in HS and has fluid hips and is physical as hell. UW had a WR, John Ross, who made the switch midway through the year and was starting and playing well in no time.

I saw a rumor Griffin may move from QB to CB/S.

Agreed. I think that third guy would ideally be change of pace, home run hitter. For different reasons, Freeman and Tyner both lack that a little bit. Freeman doesn't have elite speed and Tyner lacks elite elusiveness. Tony James is elite in both of those categories and would bring something different to the table, unlike Benoit.

Very true. Will make that change in my next update.

Probably good idea where he will get more playing time by switching to defense.

I always like using ChileDuck's depth chart, especially as a visual aid. You can see how we might transition some guys on defense if we switch to a base 43.

Ratings position group from 1-10, for funs.

QB 5 - Relative to the rest of the positions, the experience is just not there. Is there talent? I'm not sure yet, but there's certainly potential. Can that potential be turned into actually talent/skills, and quickly? That's real the question. I like Lockie, but I think one of the freshmen will get the nod over him.

RB 9 - This might be the strongest group, and might even deserve a 10, but I still think we have potential to do more. If Tyner can run like we know he can, and some of the freshmen contribute too, we'll have one of the strongest RB groups ever. I'm excited to see James and Griffin.

TE 8 - With Brown's injury, there might not be one guy that stands out, but you can't go wrong with Mundt and Baylis. When Brown is back, and Lake and Breeland are off the bench, this is a very strong group.

WR 9 - So loaded, it's silly. With Addison back, this group should be top notch.

OL 7 - I'm nervous about who we lost. Grasu, Stevens, and Fisher were great players. I hope we figure out the center position, that's probably the biggest question mark. It should be nice to have Johnstone back, and I also like our depth better this year. We have young depth, but better than walk-on depth.

DL 7 - If we had no Buckner, this group might have gotten a 5. However, with his return and Canton coming in, I think there's some life on the line. Depth is a little bit of a concern, especially if injuries start racking up.

LB 7 - Should be pretty similar to last year, except slightly improved with Walker slotted to start. Next year is when we start worrying.

DB 6 - While we have 3 very good starters, that other corner position worries me. The influx of young DBs though is incredible. I absolutely love our group of DBs, it's just not very many players and they are inexperienced. I think by the time we get near the end of the season, this group will be impressive. But right now, you can't deny the youth and inexperience.

ST 7 - Our best kicking game in a long while. Our punting is average. PR game has been nice with Nelson, and I'm excited to see what our KR game does this year.

Overall, QB is obviously one of the bigger concerns. CB is probably the only other glaring concern, and other than that we look fine at the other positions. Of course I'd like a little more experienced depth at OL and DL, but it's been worse before.

Why does he have Ty Griffin listed as ineligible?

I didn't notice that. He's also got Carrington listed so the only 2 things I can think of are he forget to update his profile completely or he knows about a suspension that we haven't heard about. I'll go with the former.
