Rudy Gay B- C+ C- C C+ A

Probably the biggest strengths of Gay is he really doesn't have a weakness. While he is not the next coming of Spreewell in how complete of player he is, Gay is solid to very good in a lot of areas. He can play the 4 or the 3 and plays like a classic cornerman mixed with a slasher's mentality. This makes him hard to match up against as he can beat you inside or out depending ont he matchup. He led UConn to the final four almost singlehandedly as he played nearly every postion on the court not named point guard. A nightmare on the offensive glass. Scouts are convinced he has top shelf upside and is one to watch out for near the top of many draft boards.

Adam Morrison C B F+ C+ C- A

This kid was the darling of the tourney. He was the man leading the attack and the vocal leader on defense for Cinderella Gonzaga Bulldogs. He did everything for them and burst into tears when they cut down the nets and later hoisted the trophy. While the public loved the emotion and the story, scouts tried to temper the fanbases from demanding drafting the Stashe. He was a college F/C who will never be able to hand the strength for those positions at the next level, and is clearly a pro 3. If he can make this transition he could have success as he has a super clean midrange game and can space the floor from the freethrow line extended. He even has the range for the three but that is more a developing part of this game. Very energetic on defense but maybe lacks some of the physicality that would make him a top defender at the next level. Really struggles with turnovers. Most scouts think he only has ok potential but several pundits like Skip Bayless insist this kid is the next coming.

Nicolas Batum C+ C+ C C+ C A

"Nicola", out of France, is a player that every scout came away from the combine raving about. While not much was heard from him in europe, he got a last minute invite to the combine. While he was a nobody when he arrive, but the end every scout was talking about this kid. He has a very balanced offensive attack and is none too shabby on the defensive end. He is a walking 5X5 candidate and his potential is right up there near the top of this class. His biggest weakness is he could really use to bulk up on his frame and at only 18 a lot of things can happen to derail a career at that age.

Mike Hall C B C C D C

This outside focused 3 was out of bracket buster George Washington. The senior led his team to a sweet sixteen berth and upset #1 Duke. Excellent midrange and outside package. His close out is one of the best in the class and his is very good at keeping himself planted against later opponents. Really lack in the strength department and his skills on the glass are quite poor. The level he played out make scouts question if he can step up to the next level. A quest they are strangely not asking with other small school players like Millsap.

Andrea Bargnani C+ C D C+ C+ B

Big international prospect out of Italy scouts love his motor on the offensive glass and his size but question if he has the strength to play the post at the next level (despite the size). He is more of a project pick and probably would have been better of staying overseas for another year or two. Great upside but will that translate, scouts are torn.
