What are your expectations?
Just curious about what you guys think is an acceptable number of wins for this team and coaching staff for this year.

What is acceptable or what I expect? Two different numbers for me. I expect 8 wins, 6 is acceptable

First year coach with the talent and schedule he has 6 wins is a minimal amount of wins for me, especially with what should be two very easy non conference games this year. With the excitement and hype he's bringing, he should get 8 or 9 wins....... 6 is an "okay we're building" feeling.

Bowl eligible is a cautious projection, I think 8-9 is a completely reasonable expectation given the schedule and enthusiasm that has taken the team from the malaise of last season to a motivated one this season.

Wyoming at their place at 7000'+ and a possible first round quarterback for the pokes will not be an easy game. As an aside, I called the UW athletic department about tickets for the Duck game as I only live about 2 hours from Laramie, and they said if your not a season ticket holder or a member of the Booster club (Cowboy Joes???) you have to wait until July to get tickets and they were pretty sure they would be sold out before then. Funny thing is, the lady told me the tickets for Oregon would probably be priced at $105 each, but you can buy a season ticket for 7 games for $149.00!!! Probably have to go to stub hub or some other internet site to get tickets.Alan wrote:First year coach with the talent and schedule he has 6 wins is a minimal amount of wins for me, especially with what should be two very easy non conference games this year. I clearly didn't do my homework on Wyoming and under estimated them. Season tickets for Wyoming at $149 my not be a bad investment you can still make the Ducks game and get most if not all your money back selling them.

Re: What are your expectations?
I'd love to see this reposted with the two options being "7-8" and "9-10."

It's more about how the team plays than the record itself. That said, seven wins is about the magic number for me. Six a little disappointing, eight a bit impressive.

Re: What are your expectations?
That is where I'm at too. If they go 6-7 and lose three heart breakers but play with effort, emotion and show growth, I consider that progress. I'd love to see 11-2 but also realize the talent and depth on D is going to be an Achilles heel for this team all year.Tray Dub wrote:It's more about how the team plays than the record itself. Re: What are your expectations?
As others have said, play and effort are most important this year, but I expect at least 7 wins. Everything more is gravy.

My 1 real hope and expectation is for significant growth in effort and performance by the D... If that happens, these guys could surprise all of us, and probably themselves in the process!

First year coach always gets a pass so long as progress is shown. I'm in the accept 6 wins but think the number is 8 group.

I'd say seven or eight, but wouldn't be surprised with nine
