UConn is 3-0, but I don't think they've beaten anyone of note, and they're unranked (not even any votes). I'd think the Ducks should be able to handle the Huskies, though they would seem to be a definite step up from the teams the Ducks have played so far.karlhungis wrote:Is Uconn any good?
But should the Ducks win, they'll likely play Mich. State on Friday (assuming the Spartans will have beaten DePaul), which obviously would be a whole different animal, and a game the Ducks would definitely not be expected to win.

It might be similar to last year vs UCONN at Maui Invitational. Ducks should win this game.karlhungis wrote:Is Uconn any good?

Miles Bridges? He's day to day, depend on the swelling on his ankle. I can see Izzo not starting him for first round then see how he is by the 2nd round.

Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
From message board chatter it sounds like UConn fans don't have much confidence about Thursday's game. I don't think they're looking too great this year. I think our guys will come out pumped up and ready to play.
If we beat UConn and face MSU I can see us giving them a game, too. They have some bigs that could give us trouble, but they're a few players short at the moment with Goins, Ahrens, and now maybe Bridges all out. Goins and Ahrens aren't big time players like Bridges, but losing two upperclassmen always hurts depth. I think we could potentially run them to death. It will be a matter of at least holding our own on the boards and limiting easy looks for them. We have the athletes to do that.
I think this team will hit rough patches, but the ceiling is high enough that I think we can play with anyone if we're firing on all cylinders. Can't afford to have letdowns against anyone this week though.

Got tickets to the Oregon/UConn match up. Anybody else going to other games in the tournament or just the Ducks?

This offense is hard to watch. You can tell there’s a lot of Freshmen out there who think they can just out-talent everyone. Also these refs are a bunch of idiots that love UCONN.

Troy Brown struggling again. Just picked up his 3rd foul with 4 minutes to go in the half.
