New redshirt rule
allowing participation in up to four games apparently will pass.

Re: New redshirt rule
Four games seems like a lot, not saying I'm against the rule.

Re: New redshirt rule
I would've proposed 3 but 4 is fine.

Any guesses on how this is going to actually effect college football?

Might effect bowl season and conference championship games. Add a "spark" to them if you will.StevensTechU wrote:Any guesses on how this is going to actually effect college football?

Re: New redshirt rule
you could even find a diamond in the rough. A player is redshirting then pressed into action
and is better fit then the guy who got injured.

Re: New redshirt rule
Seems like a really good rule for quarterbacks. Any four games means a lot of teams won't have to burn the redshirt year for back-up QB's.

Re: New redshirt rule
I see this as a rule that's been a long-time coming. It would really help teams who are dealing with injury issues late in the season or allow coaches to test potential redshirts in-game before making a final decision.

Great rule for guys like Braxton , but let's wait and see how some people will take advantage of the intent of the rule before we judge it.
