portland easily takes care of the jazz, then played the ultimate garbage ball for 3 quarters in phoenix to take away any goodwill earned from beating utah... then stormed back from 15 down in the 4th with dame scoring the winning bucket with 0.9 left.

currently the 5 seed. 8 of the next 9 at home.

You have to hand it to Lillard - he is on a pretty good streak lately, and has raised his FG% quite a bit over the last month. Phoenix is the worst team in the NBA and never should have been ahead of the Blazers to being with, but credit to Lillard for bringing them back.

The standings in the West are insane right now. The ninth seed is one game back in the loss column from the third seed.

116-99 over the Kings. 6-4 in their, 6 of the last 7. Jazz beat them by 19 in Portland, Blazers beat the Jazz by 19 in SLC, Have wins over the Warriors, and in a change from recent history have taken care of the teams they should beat:, Charlotte, Sacramento, and Phoenix.

I still don't think you trade either. If the Zers really want to get to that next echelon, you need 3 superstars nowadays. Since Portland can't sign anyone in free agency, you absolutely have to keep the ones you have.

Lillard with the off night shooting, but Turner, Davis, and Collins go a combined 14 of 20, including 5 of 6 from 3-point distance. This is my favorite win so far in the streak, because it didn't take the guards shooting out of their minds to make it happen. Nurkic is remembering that he is in a contract year, and Collins is starting to find himself in the league a bit. Even Turner had a nice outing tonight. Need more of that from him.

In the era of Superteams, it probably doesn't make any difference who gets third, but at least each game is a little more interesting now. Home court advantage in the first round might be nice. Having beaten the Timberwolves and now the Thunder, all of a sudden the Blazers are in first in their division, and third overall in the conference. Oh, and they are three games above the Clippers for the lottery.

Very impressed by particular series of plays by Collins down the stretch in tonight's game against OKC, throws a really bad pass, but gets back on defense and blocks the shot. I was also really impressed with Connaughton, he is non stop motion, effective on both ends of the floor.

CJ is not a superstar & their lack of defense will hurt. You have to take risks in the draft. Collins was a positive step towards that.

not that it means much now, but blazers now have the fifth best record in the nba. They haven't played that well all season, but now is the time to start playing your best.

very happy to see collins get the post-game interview, kid deserves some pub. he was fantastic in the 4th quarter.

it's getting easier and easier for me to imagine the blazers re-upping nap and davis and letting nurk walk, especially if free agency gets wacky and someone comes in with a crazy, blazer-esqu offer. we may need to also bring in a cheap veteran big man (or, you know, play meyers leonard some) but collins' play has quietly been one of the best stories of this win streak. stotts really doesn't like playing rookies if he can help it, but collins has not only carved out a role but a 4th quarter role at that.

Agree. Have to give credit to Olshey for the Collins pick, kid will only get bigger and better, he's very good at the basket offense and defense and can hit a 3. Nurk is expendable. Blazers in a fight with the Pelicans for 3rd in the west right now. have one more game with Pelicans in New Orleans on March 27.
