NFL Draft (Ducks)
The draft starts up tonight, any predictions on who goes when? I can ońly see two players getting drafted, unless I'm missing someone obvious. I think Crosby will go in the late first or early second and Royce will drop to mid third or fourth. The long snapper will be a free agent..... springs may get an invite to camp, but as stated before he can't catch the ball. Am I missing anyone?

Springs will likely get drafted. Teams don't care about a CB's ability to catch. There's a reason a lot of these guys are DBs instead of WRs in the first place. They care about the ability for them to prevent WRs from catching the ball, and Springs had the highest coverage rating in the Pac-12 last year, according to PFF. He also put up pretty good pro day numbers. It won't be early, but I'd be shocked if he isn't drafted. I doubt Robinson will be drafted, but I could see an NFL team falling in love with his measurables and drafting him late.

Actually I think Tanner Carew will be a 6/7 round draft pick. Teams will absolutely use a late pick for Specialists and he's the #1 rated LS. Anyone paying their LS over (or close to) a million will be a team likely to pick him.
Ty Crosby is likely in that big bubble of the 3rd group of prospects which means he could be a late first rounder all the way to an early 3rd. Royce is likely in that same range too although with the RBs, its going to be about team preferences as there are a lot more RBs to choose from than Tackles.
Next years draft is going to have see a lot of GM's at Oregon's Pro Day.

Yup Carew has been in a few mocks, could totally see him getting picked.Duck07 wrote:Actually I think Tanner Carew will be a 6/7 round draft pick. If I had to bet it'd be Crosby somewhere around the 3rd-4th round , followed by Carew in the 6th , and maybe Royce being drafted.

I think it's a good spot for him. That OL could use some help though.

as a bronco fan I like this pick since they need a rb, but their o line has been really bad the last five years or so.

I'm surprised that Crosby has dropped this far. Thought he would easily have gone in the top half of the 3rd round.

Crosby is going to be a huge steal to whomever drafts him. 0 sacks allowed in a season??...... I think he has sound measurables as well........

I'm shocked he has slipped that far, I also wonder what's going on. I think he had a good combine.greenyellow wrote:I'm surprised that Crosby has dropped this far. Thought he would easily have gone in the top half of the 3rd round.

Re: NFL Draft (Ducks)
I remember seeing that he had low reps on the bench, and strength may be a concern. But yeah, with his accolades, I’m surprised he wasn’t drafted in the first 3 rounds. Could also simply be that whatever side (L or R) his projected strength is, it wasn’t the side the team picking needed, if they needed a tackle.
