It appears they are located in Norman, Oklahoma or somewhere in Florida...Merganzer wrote:Yeah, hard to figure what kind of data is used to determine the Hero Sports Poll.UOducksTK1 wrote:UCLA 5th in a poll? Weird. Nice to see us at 2 across the board.

Re: Softball Polls
So, Oregon beat UCLA 2 out of 3, beat Washington on the road (14-6), UCLA beat them at home, (7-2) have the same conference record as does UCLA. Oregon is 1 in RPI, UCLA is 2. Oregon has OOC wins over ranked, Georgia, LSU, FSU, Oklahoma, UCLA has wins over ranked LSU & Long Beach St. By all means, UCLA is #1. Huh?

Re: Softball Polls
I think UCLA just needs another loss or two. Yeah Oregon beat them, but their RPI is just one spot behind ours and their record includes four less losses. I think a 4 or 5 loss UCLA falls to #2.Merganzer wrote:So, Oregon beat UCLA 2 out of 3, beat Washington on the road (14-6), UCLA beat them at home, (7-2) have the same conference record as does UCLA. Softball Bracketologist says the Ducks are #1, among his reasons, Oregon has 13 wins against the RPI top 10 -- more than any two challengers for the No. 1 seed combined.

Re: Softball Polls
Amazing to think -- no matter the rankings of the teams you're losing to -- that you can lose six straight like UW and still be solidly in the top ten.
