CBS Sports story on Cristobal
CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd has written a really good story about Cristobal's route to Oregon and what friends and family think about him being HC:

this is a very good read that gives some real insights into MC. Very good and well written.

In fact, after less than two seasons in Eugene, Oregon, Mario is ready to retire there. "When I say 'all in,' I don't see that guy ever leaving," Lou said.
Some of that juice never leaves. When University of Washington radio guys teased him about the Ducks-Huskies rivalry, Mario blurted, "Hey, c'mon. Let's go to the Octagon."
"The trash talk," Cristobal recalled, "was getting too intense."
Obviously he's still just in Year 1, but I don't know how much I would pay to watch Mario vs Softy in the ring.Three-thousand miles away, Mario is beginning to deliver the work ethic and modesty he learned in the neighborhood.
"It's just different out there, very wholesome, very clean," Lou said. "The support they have, the fan base, and the guys they're bringing in. Holy s***, those guys are going to win a championship."

I'd pay a lot more to see that than Mayweather vs Pacquiao ...again.Duck07 wrote:Obviously he's still just in Year 1, but I don't know how much I would pay to watch Mario vs Softy in the ring.

To each their own, but this is the type of guy I want running the team. That's a great story.

Love the enthusiasm from his family and am super glad we have a coach who loves Eugene again.
That said, still gotta get W's and if Arroyo doesn't cut it, have the stones to let him go.
