Re: Knicks-Grizzlies Blockbuster
Agreed.
Was gonna try and go for the league’s first fourpeat, but this was a good deal for me. Cheers Zyme.

Rich get richer.
Knicks have always seemed like a patient team.
They traded away so much, I just don't see how this works out for them.

Re: Knicks-Grizzlies Blockbuster
Well they can run with Baldwin-Ball-Baldwin-Bell-Gobert with Brown as 6th man. That’s the 2nd-best team out East in my opinion behind Toronto and gives him a chance to win the next few years since Ball is only 26.bellsduck wrote:Rich get richer.

Re: Knicks-Grizzlies Blockbuster
This is how I see the deal in the end:
Knicks send:
2 late 1's
Terrence Clarke
Chris Paul II
Alijah Mourning
Dyland Anderson
Grizzlies send:
Jordan Bell
LaMelo Ball
Troy Brown
Justice Ajobor
Bell and Brown are the best pieces in this deal (currently*) as both are top 3-5 at their positions. The Knicks are better in the short term with this deal and didn't mortgage their future (their own 1sts) to make a deal in an attempt to compete.
Grizzlies maximized their return in a huge way w/o killing nuking their team in the short term and I applaud that. Let see if the prospects pay off (and if they do, there will be cap issues) b/c Ball was a great talent.
I like these trades as it changes the makeup of the league (I am too much of a wuss to gamble like this though )

Fixed it for you. Bell was a rental to make the deal happen.Oregon Ownage wrote:This is how I see the deal in the end:

Grizzlies at the end of the day got 4 top 7 picks spread out in their years so the cap hit won't be that big a deal. Plus 2 other 1sts (albeit late picks). Mostly for Ball.
Even when I was good the most I've ever been offered for a player is 2 1sts. Lol.
