If we can get this one, we are back in it.
Although UW is looking strong.

They held off the Beavers tonight. But agreed, this would be a big win for us. ASU is still a really good team.

Just looked over their conference wins so far and....all bottom feeders. Winning in the mountains is mildly impressive but I dont think Colorado and Utah are quite as imposing as they have been in past years, though time will tell.northbeachsf wrote:If we can get this one, we are back in it.

If Oregon can pull one out at ASU, which seemed awfully beatable, and then follow it up with Wins against UW and and WSU then I would feel VERY optimistic about this team. Slow start, sneaky good finish. I'm starting to get the sense that this could be a very satisfying season by the end...and definitely Pac12 Tourney Champion capable.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

The Ducks did a great job defensively on the Wildcats, if they can keep the Sun Devils in the 50's, there's a great chance for a W. The Sun Devils look to have a 7 man rotation, 5 averaging 30+ mins, and double figure scoring, led by freshman G, Laquenz Dort, 16.3.
McKale is a legendary Home court advantage for Arizona, losing 5 times in the last 5 years, twice to the Ducks. ASU doesn't have that kind of history, but coming out strong ASU is kind of the guy who plays his music loud all night, so quieting them from the start would help the Ducks a lot. f

Ducks up 26-23 at the under 8 break. Wooten with 2 quick fouls but Norris has come in and scored 6 points. He's starting to look much better now that he's getting some steadier playing time.

Tied at 32 at the under 4 timeout. Oregon has gone a bit cold from outside but have been getting to the FT line enough to make up for it.

Oregon needs to find a way to hang on to the ball more and be smarter about which fouls they're taking.

Agreed, they got to be a lot smarter right now.
And good grief, this ASU team has a lot of in your face guys. Saw the same in their osu game too. Nasty.

Oregon ties it at 39 at the halftime after Pritchard banks in a three at the buzzer. Game is definitely getting a little chippy and the refs are letting a lot of pushoffs and contact go on both ends.

This game has shown the Pac-12 refs at their worst since they're missing really easy calls and have lost control of the game due to their ineptness at calling fouls in the correct manner.

Bailey and King are having tough games tonight, shooting only 3-18 so far. They need one or both to hit some shots since it's really only White and Pritchard hitting.

Cherry is just killing Oregon from deep. Not helping that Oregon is getting nothing from Bailey, Richardson, or Amin.

Hurley's sideline antics are reminding me why I've disliked him as both a player and now a coach.
