Based on performance to date alone, I'd say...lukeyrid13 wrote:How it should be IMO based on games so far:

Nobody has obliterated opponents like Ohio State and Wisconsin have so far. If Wisconsin was named Alabama, they'd be #1 by a landslide. Same goes for tOSU.

Exactly how I would have it. Waiting to hear the rationalizing, extenuating circumstances, on why it won't be like that.

Re: Top 25 Committee rankings
The performance on the field is the key, and tOSU certainly has done very well, but LSU has also performed very well against the toughest schedule, (Texas, Florida).StevensTechU wrote:Based on performance to date alone, I'd say...lukeyrid13 wrote:How it should be IMO based on games so far:

Re: Top 25 Committee rankings
It's going to be tough for the Ducks to move up anytime soon because of the Florida beat Auburn, Auburn beat Oregon scenario. Unfortunately, these SEC matchups that will break up the monotony won't happen for at least 2-3 weeks. It will be very hard to get into any type of playoff discussion by then, even if they win out.

Absolutely. I'm dinging LSU for having a very suspect defense.Merganzer wrote: The performance on the field is the key, and tOSU certainly has done very well, but LSU has also performed very well against the toughest schedule, (Texas, Florida).

Re: Top 25 Committee rankings
Agreed, but a Rose Bowl win would be better than a loss in the playoffs IMO. We need some momentum going into the offseason for recruiting and just rebuilding the program. No way Oregon would beat the best of the best this year unless the RB's drastically improve by then, someone replaces Breeland, and the WR's start to play to their full potential. Too many ifs for Oregon to have a chance in the playoffs. Besides, Oregon only has themselves to blame, just like in 2001 and 2012. You want to be in the championship, then don't lose games you shouldn't lose. I couldn't care less about rankings with Oregon this season.SuperDuck wrote:It's going to be tough for the Ducks to move up anytime soon because of the Florida beat Auburn, Auburn beat Oregon scenario. Re: Top 25 Committee rankings
The four commentators going through the scenarios for the contending teams; tough games coming up, chance to prove they belong, or don't, settle it on the field. The only lock is Clemson, who doesn't/hasn't had to prove anything on the field this season. They did agree that Oregon was the best chance the Pac-12 had of getting in, but even if the Ducks were to run the table the rest of the way, a 1 loss Clemson, should still go in before them.

Got to give them a little bit of a break here. First, we were down some starters. Second, they aren't use to playing this much! The offence is scoring much faster than they are used to

I think you have Florida a little over ranked. If Franks doesn't get injured they loose to Kentucky, not sure how that guy was starting, he tried his best to give Miami a win too.

I don’t think Florida is 7th best team but have the 7th best body of work so far.
