I think there is a QB run component they just arent using. Maybe to protect Herbert.

I'm wondering how the Pistol will look next year with Shough as he's a slightly better runner than Herbert.GrantDuck wrote:Big fan of the fact that Arroyo acknowledges his mistakes. He was honest about the Auburn game this year and now you can tell his disappointment about last year's Arizona game. He's had a much better year this season.
I still think Pistol with a non running QB is a stupid system, but the playcalling and game planning has been much better overall.

I'm hoping next year we don't see the pistol anymore.OregonFan4Life wrote:I'm wondering how the Pistol will look next year with Shough as he's a slightly better runner than Herbert.GrantDuck wrote:Big fan of the fact that Arroyo acknowledges his mistakes. I love that the players are talking about last years game (and Arizona’s dirtiness). I don’t care if we get some dumb penalties as long as they win and impose their will. Football is such a momentum and energy game - some fire in the belly can turn a close game into a rout as we saw against USC.

^ Agreed. I’d rather get a few passion penalties if it means we are being the aggressor all game long.

I rarely get this feeling and maybe it's hubris based on the 2nd half against USC, but I think we win this game by 30+, maybe 40+.

That's a really crazy combo, but I think I like it.upperV03 wrote:The Ducks are going dark green/yellow/dark green on Saturday:

Pac 12 after dark in November what could possibly go wrong. LOL I kid. I do worry some but probably do for every game. I think Oregon wins by 21.
