All-Conference honors announced
The Pac-12 has announced the all-conference honors. Kayvon Thibodeaux was the only Duck to win an individual award, winning FR Defensive Player of the Year. Utah won Offensive Player of the Year (Moss) and Coach of the Year (Whittingham) while Weaver from Cal won Defensive Player of the Year. Utah led the way with 10 first and second-teamers while Oregon only had 2 each on the first and second teams. I find it funny that Herbert is considered a first-round pick but will have never done better than getting honorable mention selections.

Re: All-Conference honors announced
I don't usually complain too much about these, but absolutely freakin' brutal 1st/2nd teams.
UW has 5 players on the all defensive team and we have 1.
UW has 2 1st team OL and we have 1.
Like Troy Dye tweeted, happy to have the conference championship instead,
that said... whoever voted on these did a terrible, lazy job.

It is a pure joke that the conference winner has fewer 1st and 2nd team members than teams with far inferior records and players.

Fucking joke. Good for the team to play with a chip on their shoulder though.

When the all-conference teams that are voted on by the media are announced, they'll show what a joke the coach/SID-voted all-conference teams are.

If Utah had the far better team wouldn’t Cristobal be the obvious choice for COY?

Was the vote before or after the PAC 12 championship? Coach C got robbed either way. Utah has all these first and second teamers and lost BIG time in championship. Oh well better to be Champions with such a mediocre lineup I guess!

Re: All-Conference honors announced
It seems there was a bias against Oregon players.
Throckmorton, Graham, Lenoir, or Holland not even making second team is a joke.
One first team position player, one S/T, and three second team is laughable.

Those all conference teams are complete trash. Wow. A lot of Oregon players are getting disrespected with this garbage.

Re: All-Conference honors announced
As GY stated, this was a vote by pac 12 coaches, I think it shows how other coaches feel about the Ducks and the coaches dominance in recruiting. A complete joke, the media vote will be completely different imo.greenyellow wrote:When the all-conference teams that are voted on by the media are announced, they'll show what a joke the coach/SID-voted all-conference teams are.

Nothing against Whittingham or the job he did, but. Utah was expected to win the South and Oregon narrowly expected to win the North to begin the season. How does a coach get COY when his team does what people expected them to do. I said before think it should be Smith at Oregon State. I thought they would finish last and they won more games than thought they would and was competitive in lot more. Oh well they never asked me.

They were expected to be bottomfeeders and ended up being a tough out and spoiler against everyone they played, +11000% agreeGoDucksIn09 wrote:Nothing against Whittingham or the job he did, but.
