Dickson not a Mackey finalist

Best hands that I've seen of any TE in the country. it's a shame he
has been underused until this year. I'm going to enjoy following him
in the NFL and oh by the way he is a very nice kid off the field.

Well that's a bunch of bs.

I was considering starting a "Just How Good Is Dickson?" thread the other day. I think he's going to turn out to be an elite NFL TE like the glory days of Jeremy Shockey, Todd Heap, Antonio Gates or the current Vernon Davis.

His stats are not quite good enough when compared to his competition, especially since he is not a traditional TE. It will be interesting to see what he does at the next level. He will need to put on some weight for sure.

the TE position is ridiculously deep this year.

Especially considering that the two best TEs in Gresham and Gronkowski have been out for the entire year.

What's interesting is when I hear the talking heads speak of Dickson, they always talk about how he is a great pass catching tight hand. Not once have they mentioned what all of us know: he can block with the best of them. They always make him sound one dimensional. This hurt him, IMHO.
