Iowa looked really, really good against a Grand Canyon team that would have upset some other teams in the tourney. I hope they ducks can keep the pac-12 momentum going but this is going to be a tough one.

Yeah, usually I see a way the Ducks will have an edge, but this one is going to be difficult. Grand Canyon had two big guys to counter Garza in the post - so he started spotting up for three and hit four of five. I'm guessing he will be living more near the basket vs. the Ducks. I just keep thinking hopefully Kepnang eats his Wheaties and has had Karate-Kid-like development over the past two weeks.

Our visions of their game are in contrast. I was underwhelmed.StevensTechU wrote:Iowa looked really, really good against a Grand Canyon team that would have upset some other teams in the tourney. I hope they ducks can keep the pac-12 momentum going but this is going to be a tough one.

So far, the Tourney has been a total nightmare for the Big-10, proving to be way overrated...
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Out of the 9 teams they got in, they've only got Iowa, Michigan, and Maryland left. Hopefully Oregon can knock at least one more out.bigsugarduck wrote:So far, the Tourney has been a total nightmare for the Big-10, proving to be way overrated...

Just run Garza ragged. Make him chase his guy around on D, and force them to go zone, which they aren’t good at. Altman is the trump card in this one. UO wins.

Really interesting defensive approach to handling Garza so far. I've seen a lot of Richardson or Duarte down low fighting with him for positioning. It looks like we're maybe letting one of them float down there sometimes and then collapsing with a double-team if the ball hits the post?

These refs are trying to redeem the Big Ten via Iowa.

I love Omoruyi but he really needs to learn how to settle down. He tries to do too much quite often.

Oregon is doing what they always do - switch everything. Only change here is that they're really trying to double team him to prevent the entry pass.Tray Dub wrote:Really interesting defensive approach to handling Garza so far.
