USC/Cal postponed

"Even though the university [of California] has stated that the football program is 99% vaccinated, at least 44 people have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week, according to Berkeley’s Department of Public Health."
Don't forget that this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.

Again, am I missing something? A vaccine by definition gives one immunity to the virus you're being vaccinated for. Or has the woke left changed the definition of what a vaccine means. I'm so confused...dd10snoop28 wrote:https://www.latimes.com/sports/usc/stor ... -19-issues

44 wow, I think they need a few more boosters.
Why are they even trying to play this game? I guess getting 5 wins is important.

It must have been the 1% that caused all the new cases. No other explanations.

How should one properly respond when society is accepting an extremely consequential narrative that is being disproved all around us (see USC/CAL postponement)?EncinitasDuck wrote:I think we're all pretty aware of your position on this subject at this point. Re: USC/Cal postponed
It's a pretty interesting data point though. College and pro sports are a unique environment where extreme pressure to get the shot has been exerted. Cal had been boasting a 99% vaccination population, and have actually threatened arrest to any player, regardless of vaccination status, who refuses testing (in a place where shoplifters get a free pass) and yet they just can't seem to stop the spread. I'm sure administrators at Cal are looking under beds and in closets for some unvaccinated person to blame it on, and you can be sure it would be announced from the rooftops if they found someone, but so far, nothing. I don't expect any meaningful introspection over mandates and firings, but this has to be a little embarrassing to the people confidently spouting the 'pandemic of the unvaccinated' baloney.

Thoughts? I'm thoroughly confused at the policy positions suggested by Ghandi. Seems to go against every action gov't officials have suggested the past 2 years.dthomas=ddixon wrote:https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/11/11/ ... -outbreak/

Well, I guess my sarcasm was pretty close to reality.dd10snoop28 wrote:It must have been the 1% that caused all the new cases. No other explanations.
Ireland, which has 95% of its adult population fully vaccinated, is seeing its largest surge since the beginning of the pandemic and the prime minister is trying to lay the blame on the 5% of the adult population that are not fully vaccinated.
This would be comedy if the implications weren't so severe.
