I read it wrong. I though he was trading him back to same team. I forgot Weatherspoon went to Clips then Spurs then back to Lakers. Still there seems to be a rule against this.

5) Players cannot be traded back and forth in the same trade. (Note: A 3rd party cannot be used as a loop hole to get by this rule. Any attempt at this will veto'd by the commish)

I think “loophole” is subject to interpretation. I don’t think this is that.

No I meant if he was traded from Lakers and back to Lakers. Him getting traded to you then back to Lakers eliminates that rule
